FAQS
HOW WILL THE WEATHER BE?
One moment you might be basking in glorious sunshine, contemplating outdoor activities, and the next you're dodging raindrops like they're the latest trend. So, pack your shades, grab an umbrella, and maybe throw in a parka just for kicks! Remember, in London, it’s always best to dress like you're prepared for a picnic and a monsoon—all in the same hour! It is October in London though... so anything could happen.
WILL THERE BE FOOD AVAILABLE AT THE GATHERING?
Yes! We will have coffee, tea, and water points flowing during the breaks as well as some small snacks which are all covered as part of the registration. There will be no lunch, dinner or sandwiches. So make sure you come with a full stomach at least till the late afternoon break, where you will have time to grab some local food before the evening session.
HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE?
If you're heading to Hackney Church in London, there are plenty of public transport options. The closest stations are Hackney Central and Hackney Downs, both served by Overground trains. You can also catch several bus routes that cover the area. If you're starting from central London, the London Overground is a handy choice, but be aware that you might need to switch to other lines based on where you’re coming from. For the best travel plan, just check out the Transport for London (TfL) website or app for details on buses and the underground.
WILL THERE BE TIME TO HANG OUT AND MEET PEOPLE?
Absolutely! We wrap up at 8 PM, giving you the chance to enjoy dinner with your friends and team. Hackney boasts a dynamic atmosphere and a thriving food scene, so head out have a great evening with friends and new friends, and who knows, you might discover a new hotspot in London!
CAN MY CHILD, BABY OR TODDLER ATTEND AS WELL?
Sadly, we don't have a Parent's Lounge or a Kids program—no fun slides or ball pits here! But fear not, we've got a cozy little room for parents with tiny tots. If you are planning to bring a child or teenager, make sure to snag a relevant ticket for them so they can have a seat with you in the main room.
DO I NEED PERMISSION TO TRAVEL TO THE UK?
YES - Starting April 2, 2025, both eligible non-Europeans and Europeans must obtain digital permission to travel to the UK. This is not a visa, so non-Europeans should verify their specific visa requirements. The digital travel permission, known as ETA, must be requested and approved prior to boarding your flight, with a fee of approximately 10 GBP. For more details, please follow the LINK.
